Otherwise known as Fat Tuesday. I've mentioned a few times before *just* how many states I've lived and worked in. Over 17 at last count. But in all of those states, nowhere is Paczki Day celebrated more than right here in Michigan where box after box of the treat are brought in to work places across the state and shared.
If you are unfamiliar with the paczki and its history, here's a 1 minute video to catch you up:
We are buried beneath a mountain of snow and ice today and are unable to get out of our driveway, much less our subdivision, so I'm suffering from paczki withdrawal. And I've not seen a news clip yet showing a socially distanced line at the bakery. But since this is Michigan, I know they are there.
So, whether you celebrate of not, Happy Paczki Day!
