Don't you hate it when the experts are right?

Yep. Sigh. Time to suck it up and say, yes! They are right.

The "they" in this case, are the vast assortment of writing and productivity experts across the globe who all tell us the same old thing: checking your email in the morning puts you at the mercy of someone else's agenda, and depletes your energy, focus, and decision making willpower before you even face your own work.

I've heard it a hundred and one times, and I know you have too.  Actually implementing? I've had a hundred and two excuses why it just isn't feasible for me. (I know, what a special little snowflake, lol). Well, I finally got off my rear this week and decided to give it a try. And sure enough, my morning writing habit which has been so difficult to start and maintain, is not what I will call "easy", but it's happening.

I'm still probably  not ready to "eat that frog". Just so you know.

Have you tried the no email thing in the morning? Or do you perhaps battle with another demon? A social media platform perhaps? Do you think avoiding it until after lunch would start your day off on a smoother footing?

My last question for you, my friends. How long do you think I can keep this up? Let me know, and let's share a laugh.
